Summer Camping Trips

We have had the opportunities to get away 3 times this summer and camp in our beautiful state.  It's been great to get out in the woods.  Here are some pictures!

Champoeg Park: Hudson got to try out cabin camping with us and enjoyed playing cars, hide and seek and stories with Meme and Papa.

Silver Falls State Park: 4th of July! They do a camp ground parade where we hung out with firemen, a beaver and Sasquatch.  We played in the river and hiked the first falls.

Sasquatch gave me a Red Cherry ICEE!! For those of you who don't know....Red Cherry ICEE's are my all time FAVORITE treat.  And...I even chose to share this special surprise with Aunt Andrea!!

Unplug

Today was a day to take a break from Social Media.  Sheesh, its ugly in the media world, people.  One good thing I have seen in the last couple of days via social media was a quote, "Be kind or be quiet".  I love it!  Did you know there is an 'out there' where people actually talk with one another, smile, interact, say kind words and generally enjoy themselves?  Hudson and I took part in that world today and it was delightful. 

We headed out to a splash pad where I watched my kind, sweet, socially anxious boy meet a new friend-to the point where the kids introduced us parents and we exchanged phone numbers...and guess what?? They live in Canby too!, he was kind to others, shared his toys, used his words, splashed and giggled the day away!  Then, we came home to play cars, watch Booba, dance to Toto the Turtle, splash our Little People in our pretend swimming pool. I also dyed some rice for our summer sensory bin.

Here's to a summer with more face to face social time and less social media!

Hudson 3 years 9 months

*I have been starting to share my cars with others and enjoy making new friends at the park.
*I love the ladies in my Little Gym Class.  They often make me pictures.
*I have recently become quite obsessed with dinosaurs.
*My imagination is growing and I have some great make believe games I play with my cars, trucks, trains, dinosaurs and people.
*Bedtime is going great!  I'm making mom and dad proud by putting myself to bed.
*I went to the 'Schnitz' and experienced two different shows.  I went and watch Daniel Tiger with Meme and Papa and Mom and Dad took me to see Peppa Pig.  I have good memories of both, although it was loud and bit overwhelming so I only watched about 30 minutes of each before leaving.

*I have some new words and phrases in my vocabulary. I use them appropriately, although it makes everyone laugh mom and dad say I shouldn't use them until I am older.
*Mommy and Daddy are ready for summer and a chance to spend more time with me.
