Night with Friends

On Friday night Matt and I went to the Tigard High School graduation and got a chance to see some of the tennis players walk across the stage.  We are so proud of all of them.

After graduation and pictures, we met up with some "old high school buddies" at the Tigard Applebee's. It was so much to reimence, reconnect and catch up. Hopefully we can all stay in touch a bit more. Thanks Brooke, Tina and Teri for a great night; Can't believe we had enough stories to tell to keep us out until 12:30am! Jessica and Matt; thanks for tagging along and listening our stories. It was fun and hopefully we can get together again soon!

Tennis Season Wrap-Up

The tennis season has come to a close and what a ride it was this year. Last year we tied for last in the league and took 5th at districts. This year, the Tigard Girls Tennis Team took 3rd in League with a record of 9-5 (first winning record they have had since 2004), they took 2nd in Districts (only behind Tualatin), and even had one player making it to the quarterfinals in the State Tournament, making the Tigers 10th in the state!!  It was great to watch the team come together and work together for the common goal. I am excited to see what next year brings.  

I was so excited to see so many girls at the banquet this year too; much better turnout than last year!  This team has some mometum that should hopefully carry us for years to come.  It was great to honor the hard work of all the athletes this season.  It was hard to say goodbye to our seniors; such an amazing group of girls!  We hope they stay in touch for years to come.
