Hudson 7 years old

This kid....

the one who made me a momma; the one who tests my patience; the one who makes me laugh and is witty beyond his age turns 7 today.  He is cuddly, compassionate, cautious, curious, crazy and a little bit kookie.  

Happy Birthday little dude; you are loved more than you will ever know!  

This summer, this little dude learned to Ride his bike without training wheels and to swim with his head under water and holding his breath.  

We finally went to the doctors and had our 6 year well child check.  Hudson is 59 lb, 83% and 47.64 inches, 46%.  He is almost 4 feet tall.  He is healthy and growing up perfect.  He has 9 adult teeth, no longer needs glasses and overall checked out great.

Hudson is reading amazing and doing well in math, but occasionally needs to be reminded to slow down in order to get an accurate answer.  He says PE and Math are his favorite subjects.  His least favorite activity is writing.     

Hudson's favorite activities are any sort of water play; pools, sprinklers, rivers, hot tubs, etc..., Mario and Batman Legos, Cars, Dressing up like Batman and a Fireman, Wrestling and playing at the park.  He also continues to love golf, playing his drum set and the ukulele!

When Hudson grows up he hopes to be a Veterinarian and Zoo Keeper taking only Wednesdays off, or he is also interested in being an Army Man in Alaska and driving tanks.   

His favorite foods are Chili, Noodles, Chicken Nuggets, PB balls, Honeydew and Watermelon, apples, plums, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries, bananas and oranges, cucumbers, carrots, peas, peppers, jicama, corn, eggplant, tomatoes and broccoli and of course CHOCOLATE in all forms!

For those who dont know, Greg was diagnosed with Colon cancer 3 weeks ago, so we need to see how all of that plays out.

Kindergarten graduation

Hudson had a great year in Kindergarten. Thanks to NCCS, he was able to be in person almost the entire year, took to wearing a mask like a champ and learned what school was all about. He worked on being patient and earned the Kindness award, for his actions on the playground. I'm so proud of him!

What the heck!  How are we only 3.5 years away from double digits?! 

This kid is a blast to be around.  He's handled all life has thrown our way like a pro; whether it be wildfires, COVID curve balls, Snow/Ice storms, power outages, etc...  

He is Spunky, Sporty, Full of Energy and also Loves to Snuggle.  

He likes Batman, Mario, Lego's, Cars and Squishie toys.  He loves all the dogs in his life; Shadow, Truffles and Pickles.  He likes Snap bracelets, Light Bright, Walks to parks and silly string fights. He enjoys golf lessons and his new basketball hoop.  He has learned to pump while swinging and has lost 4 teeth already this fall.

Kindergarten: Hudson is an energetic, friendly student. He's worked hard to use patience and effort, especially when he has to go back to fix something. We continue to work on counting, something that still give him trouble at times and handwriting. The Kinders and I enjoy his positive attitude and additions to our class discussions.

I'm so glad God blessed me with the opportunity to guide this little dude through life.
