Greg and I had a wonderful time celebrating each other on our Honeymoon Cruise. We left from L.A for a trip to Catalina Island, Ensenada Mexico and back.
The Royal Caribbean did a great job celebrating our Honeymoon. They decorated our state room nicely and even left us 2 love bird towels one night and sent us a delivery of chocolate covered strawberries.
Our gorgeous views from our balcony
We cleaned up nicely for formal night
We chose not to get off the boat at Catalina Island. Instead, we enjoyed a quiet and less crowded boat with time on the balcony, time in the hot tub, on the pool deck and in the casino.
In Mexico, we enjoyed walking around, petting street dogs, visiting local shops and I even did my first shot of Tequila. It felt appropriate in Mexico. I was also hit on by a Gay Mexican.
The conversation went as follows:
Mexican man: Wow, you are tall and beautiful. Too bad I'm gay.
Aly: Thank you
Greg: And she's married.....
In addition to my first ever Tequila shot, I expanded my horizions and tried some new foods. I enjoyed escargot. It was sauteed in garlic and butter and then broiled with a thin layer of cheese. I also tried beef carpaccio. Both are better than expected and I'm happy to say I got out of my comfort zone and tried them.
Plane ride fun on our return after a fun week together
All in all, we had a great time. Relaxing, laughing, people watching, going to shows, eating, playing cribbage, enjoying the hot tub, watching the water and overall just enjoying being together.
