We spent 5 days on the island of Oahu, trying to soak in as much as we could, while still finding time to relax.
On Monday we arrived, got a lay of the land, played in the hotel pool and enjoyed dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. Hudson and I also explored, got our feet in the sand and ocean and enjoyed the sunset.
On Tuesday we spent the day enjoying the Pacific Ocean; Snorkeling, Boogie boarding, swimming and lounging on the beach. Although, truth be told, Hudson and I didn't lounge =) We swam, wadded, explored and enjoyed the water. There was a delicious hot dog cart for lunch and a fun shop to explore on the beach. Then we explored the Army museum and took a nice walk to Dukes for dinner where we enjoyed the good food and fun atmosphere. We got a chance to take in more sights of the island on our way home, and of course, Shave Ice.
Wednesday was our day to be tourists! We spent the Morning at the Pearl Harbor Memorial. Then back to the hotel for some pool side lunch and swimming. After that we enjoyed an amazing sunset Polynesian dinner cruise as the 'Flamingo gang' that included delicious food, stunning views, great interactive performances; Hudson even got on stage. The dinner was followed by another Shave Ice.
On Thursday we rode in style to take in the Honolulu Zoo followed by more pool side dining and swimming and finished with dinner at a Sports bar and some shopping around the hotel. Hudson and I went back out to the beach to see the sand, ocean and sunset one final time and have one final Shave Ice treat.
Friday we were spoiled once again with a Limo ride to the airport!
Looks like fun in the sun shaved ice sounds woundeful
