Weight Loss

HELP!!  I need some motivation; I can feel myself slipping.  I started a year ago at 278lbs then by March I was at 246lbs; over 30 pounds down...YEAH!!!  The scale says things are going the other way though, back up to 249lbs (I know, only 3 pounds, but I don't feel good with it).  I don't want to crest 250 again.  I plateued about 2 weeks ago and I just can't seem to break it.  My ultimate goal is 200 or lower, but I am wanting to be at about 235 by the end of the school year and I know that can't happen if I don't find a way to break this current trend.  Any motivational tips from those of you out there who have gone through this or are currently going through this?

    I think it's very cool that you are sharing your journey! Just remember that each day starts fresh! :) It's hard. I hear you. I try to keep my eyes open too because I gain so easily. Best of luck! You can do it!

  2. You are doing awesome!!! Keep at it girl!

    The plan I'm on suggests an Apply Day while working the plan (simply eat nothing but apples for 24 hours) or when I get to start adding back more foods, if I gain more than a couple pounds back I am to do a Steak day (eat nothing but steak for 24 hours) Basically the idea is to jump start the body by changing things up. I would talk to your Dr. before doing either though before doing either on your plan.

    Maybe even just changing up your workout a little, or trying a plan like "Clean" (Scott and Mary have done awesome with that book). Something simple to change up the routine and kick start your body into pushing over the rough spot.

    Great work so far, I know it is frustrating to get stuck but you can push through it!!! Prayers and happy thoughts coming your way!

  3. you're doing a great job! sometimes changing up your workouts will get you past that stuck stage--maybe swim instead of tennis, stairclimb instead of walk for a few weeks.
    You may also find that a couple of weeks past the plateau, you start dropping pounds again.
