Hudson Week 18 and Merry Christmas

WOW...what a week of firsts for me

* I had my 4 month dr. appointment Monday, including shots.  This time around, I handled them a little bit better.  

* I am official 16.9 pounds and 26 inches (2'2") long.  

* On Tuesday I woke up with a tooth

* On Wednesday I woke up with another tooth

* Between shots and 2 teeth, I have slept a lot during this week
* I have found my feet and boy are they fun. I am a master at the 'Happy Baby' yoga pose!

Christmas

* I got to celebrate last night with Mommy and Daddy.  I got a new excosaucer, Braves gear, books and toys.  

* I enjoyed Christmas Day with Grandpa Ralph.  We went to church (which I completely slept through) and then relaxed at home. Aunt Andrea even came out to visit.

* On Saturday I will get to celebrate one more Christmas with Grandma, Grandma, Aunt Christa, Uncle Jeremy and Eric.

Hudson Week 17

* I celebrated 2 Christmas' this week-they were fun and chaotic.  We'll see what the next few bring
* My week was pretty laid back.  I was mostly all smiles and pretty playful

Hudson Week 16

* I rolled over from my front to my back over my right shoulder...multiple times!

* I met Santa Clause

* I am grasping things with both hands, bringing them to my mouth and even changing hands with my toys.

* I love to listen to books and sing songs
* Grandpa and I are learning all about model airplanes!
* I slept through the night 3 nights in a row for mommy and daddy again.  They really enjoyed that!

Hudson Week 15

Whew!  What a week

* I celebrated 2 family Thanksgivings.  I sure have a lot of family who think I'm pretty cool

* Its a constant battle with my teeth and gums.  This teething stuff is hard work, but I'm doing my best and finding ways to stay comfortable at night so I am getting some sleep again (and so is momma).

* I am beginning to sleep harder during nap time and play harder in between.  It's already clear I will be one busy kid.

Hudson Week 14

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! 

* Today I am 98 days old!
* My teething saga continues; I find relief with Tylenol, frozen binkies, my fist, gumming my bib and teething toys.
* I have battled the hiccups a lot this week.
* I got a new jiggly fish toy this week
* This week I played so hard I feel asleep on my playmat.  Mom moved my jiggly fish because I kept kicking it and waking myself up.  After that I slept for a bit and then woke up and started playing again!
* I have enjoyed a couple extra days home with momma this week.
* I am becoming a rock star at tummy time!  I can really hold my head up and use my arms to prop myself.

 

Hudson Week 13

* Saturday I enjoyed another day with Grandpa Ralph as we celebrated his 80th birthday.

* I am showing many signs of teething this week; drooling, eating my fist, chewing on my bib, slightly cranky, and waking up again during the night.

* Walks are still a great way to guarantee a few moments of happiness.

* I love my play mat with the Hedgehog and the Zebra.  I bop, grasp and talk with the toys.

Hudson Week 12

* I've been doing lots of sleeping and eating this week.....mom and dad think I am growing again
* Baby Lucas and his parents Becky and Jerome came over and brought us a yummy dinner on Sunday; Food, Football, Friends and Fun!
* Grandma told mom and dad about how I've started to "bop" at my toys in the swing with her.   I showed them on Tuesday and they bought me a new toy that day.
* We took Grandpa Ralph out to dinner on Saturday to celebrate his 80th birthday and I am excited to see him again on Saturday.  I promise to be awake for some of this visit.
* I'm still sleeping pretty good and even starting to nap on my back for long periods of time
* I enjoyed having Tuesday and Thursday thanks to Veteran's Day and my first Oregon "snow" day!
* I love when when mommy plays Patty Cake with me...I smile so much.  We are all just waiting for the first giggle.

Hudson Week 11

* This week I met more new people.
* Mommy went back to work, so that meant babysitters for me.
* My routine has definitely been thrown off.  The babysitters are doing fine, but they aren't mommy.
* I am finally returning to myself after last weeks shots (Those kicked my ass)
* I have been getting to take lots of walks.  Both babysitters take me for one every day and mommy and daddy do too, once they get home.

Hudson Week 10

* I am consistently giving mom at least one 5-6 hour stretch at night between bottles. She is very grateful since she goes back to work on Monday.
* Since she goes back on Monday, I had a chance to practice spending some time with both Sarah and Grandma who will be taking turns watching me.
* Tim Hudson (a pitcher for the Giants and a long time pitcher for the Braves) won a World Series ring.  Mom and dad were hoping the Royals would win but are excited that the inspiration for my name won the world series!
* I had my 2 month check up this week...I have recovered from my shots (those aren't fun) and the doctor said I'm perfect!

Hudson Week 9

This was a big week for me!

* I officially hit two months old on Tuesday.
* I transitioned into sleeping in my own room.
* I had another fun visit with Natalie and Nora as we walked around the Wildlife Refuge.
* My wardrobe got all switch up as I have grown into my 3 month clothes.
* I am getting the hang of my new bedtime routine: PJ's, Bottle, Books and Rocking with momma.  I have enjoyed The Little Engine That Could, Goodnight Gorilla, Oh Baby, Go Baby! and Green Eggs and Ham.

Mom and dad would like me to get used to my crib, for some reason I can't.  After 20 minutes, at most, I wake and cry!  Any suggestions from other mommy friends?  We thought I just didn't like to lay on my back, because I didn't enjoy naps on the blanket or the couch, but this week I have taken 3 naps of at least 1.5 hours, on my back, in the middle of mom and dad's bed. 

Any Suggestions?

Hudson Week 8

I am holding my head really well (although when I sleep I still tilt it to left, just like I did when I was in the womb)

I am smiling...a lot

Mom and dad think I am going to grow again; I am eating and sleeping quite a bit

For the last two nights, I have slept over 6 hours at a time; making mommy and daddy really really happy!

This past weekend, I got a chance to hang out with my friend Lucas and go to the pumpkin patch (pictures in previous post....take a look)

Mom took the picture right as my round butt was taking over...and I decided to be fussy so she couldn't take any others.  But...I am getting bigger and bigger!
